New Zealand
Web Standards in (New Zealand)The New Zealand Government Web Standards (the “Web Standards”) set the accessibility and policy-compliance standards for public sector web sites in New Zealand. The major focus is enhancing online access through accessibility. Accessible web sites are equally usable for all users, irrespective of physical or technological impediments.

Tasmania
he Tasmanian Government’s Web Usability Guidelines provide practical advice on implementing whole-of-government usability requirements; and advice on better practices in usability for agencies publishing information on websites. These guidelines have been developed in consultation with the Tasmanian Government Web Publishing Reference Group (WPRG).

Sweden

United States of America
Usability.gov is a one-stop source for government web designers to learn how to make websites more usable, useful, and accessible. The site addresses a broad range of factors that go into web design and development. The site will help you to:

  • Develop prototypes
  • Conduct usability tests and write up results
  • Measure trends and demographics

Norway

ELMER- User Interface Guidelines for Governmental Forms on the Internet ELMER – easier and more efficient reporting – has been adopted as the user interface guidelines for public forms on the internet. These guidelines have been drawn up on assignment from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and are managed by the Brønnøysund Register Centre. From the summer of 2009 ELMER is also the Norwegian government IT standard for public forms for the private sector.

The ELMER guidelines will help to ensure that public form production is up to the opportunities and challenges of electronic form-based communication in a comprehensive and user-friendly way. The ELMER guidelines are the foundation on which Altinn is developed. The goal is that all public forms will use a common user interface.
